He loved these little things. He would lean over and stick his face in them. It was funny.

Easter...
Dylan wasn't that into Easter yet this year. We got him a basket and put a little bear in it. I was hoping he would latch on to this for comfort instead of the blankie. He walks around with his blankie and I'm afraid he's going to trip. So I kept giving it to him all day. He would give it a little hug and then move on. At bedtime when we got all situated to read our book I gave him his blankie and the teddy bear. But once I started singing and he rolled over to get comfy he threw the bear, so I picked up and gave it back to him. He then preceeded to take it and throw it across the room. I guess he would rather have his blankie. I place the bear in his crib by him every night but I don't think he cares. He had two Easter egg hunts, and he didn't really care about either. He loved being outside, obviously, but could care less about those eggs laying around everywhere. Mommy and daddy helped because we know that was the only way we were going to get any candy.
There isn't much else going on right now, so I will post a little more later.

It's amazing how much he's changed in just his first year. He is such a sweet boy. He is happy all the time, loves people, loves attention, and is usually a joy to be around. When I take him out to the store or something he is constantly drawing attention. People will just walk up and start talking to him. He is such a sweetheart, I don't know what my life would be like without him. Not near as complete as it feels right now.

So I never dreamed that him turning one would be as hard as it was. I shed a few tears over it, and even now thinking about it makes me sad. I guess you hear cherish every moment because it goes so fast, but until it's your child you don't truly understand. I look back and wonder where the time went. We keep so busy all day long that it seems like the day just started and it's already over. He has been and still such a blessing to our lives. It's amazing how much joy and worry, and love one little boy can bring to your life. As I sit here typing my heart feels so full, and I realize how blessed I am to have Dylan and Gene in my life. They are my two most favorite people in the whole world. I love you both so much, thanks for making my life so happy and full of fun, you're the best.

Sorry the pictues aren't great. I was hoping to get some really cute pictures, but you know what, these are very busy boys and they weren't always in agreement on which direction to run.
